I hate the way people talk to kids

This kid is on the news right now, and he’s talking about how he’s been raising money for college and the reporter asks in this high voice “And how much did you raise, Adam??” I think you know what voice I’m talking about even without hearing it. That super-condescending “Gosh you’re such a cute little non-person” voice.

I need to be rescued

This could be done with friends, a significant other, a therapist, family, a combination of all or some. Whatever. All I know is that I scare myself sometimes, and I don’t want to lose my mind.

The rage, the bitterness, the sadness, all the emotions. They’re swallowing me whole.
